Hi I’m Karen! I graduated from CSU Long Beach with a major in Marine Biology and a minor in Chemistry. My goal is to pursue veterinary school and become a veterinarian. I have worked as a veterinary assistant since 2008 and I have also worked as an organic chemist intern at IIRMES, an aquatic toxicology lab. In my free time I work with animals as a volunteer and read research articles on zoonotic disease. I am passionate about saving animals, getting to know pet owners, and providing the best possible care for each furry friend.
Hi, I’m Michelle and I’ve had the pleasure of being a Registered Veterinary Technician at OACC since 2011. My favorite part of the job is interacting with our clients and helping them make informed decisions about the health of their furry companions. Every day I learn something new and my work is never boring. I truly love my job! I have two 13 year old cats, “Franklin” and “Tully”. They add so much joy to my life and I feel lucky to have them. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing in the sun, Disneyland, road trips, and reading.
Hi, I'm Molica. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. I've had the pleasure of working as a Veterinary Assistant at Ortega Animal Care Center since June 2014. So far, I love this job and I'm learning a lot every day. I've loved animals since I can remember and have always been passionate about helping them. It's exciting to finally do what I've always wanted to do. In my spare time, I love going out and enjoying life as much as possible, whether it's going to the beach, hiking, hanging out with friends, or reading a good book. reading. I don't have any pets but I love the dogs that stay with us.
Hi, my name is Tim and I've been working as a Veterinary Technician at OACC since September of 2014. I am a Certified Veterinary Assistant. I have been fascinated with animal care and medicine since my childhood, even trying to care for the wounded animals I found in my backyard when playing. I feel blessed to be working in such an accepting environment that has the clear goal of giving the best animal care possible. My favorite part of my job is how rewarding it is knowing that I did something to improve the quality of life for an animal. I have an Australian Shepard named "Max" who is closer to me than my shadow. When I have free time I enjoy fishing, watching movies, and building saltwater fish tanks.
